Parents of Adult Children Group
Purpose
Parenting doesn’t end when children become adults, it evolves. Many mental health professionals agree that the most effective parenting comes from a willingness to grow and reflect. As parents of adult children (many of whom now have families of their own), you may be navigating new and sometimes unexpected challenges. This group offers a space to explore those experiences, connect with others, and strengthen your relationship skills. It’s never too late to grow.
What You’ll Gain
- A deeper understanding of listening to understand rather than to respond
- Tools for setting clear, healthy boundaries
- More effective and respectful ways to handle conflict
- Strategies for coping with shifting family roles and dynamics
- Insight into repairing relationships—even when it feels difficult or overdue
- Opportunities to build emotional awareness and maturity at any stage of life

Knowing what matters to you in this setting will help you determine if I am a good fit.
I offer a free 20 minute consultation to serve as a personality and needs assessment. During this time I ask clients to be prepared with questions about the process or jump into what is the most important thing they want me to know. I am not the right fit for everyone. If that is determined, I have a robust network of colleagues and will offer recommendations.
